Travel Day 636 – Kathmandu, NEPAL
Today was the only full day that I had in Kathmandu and before I would head out to Kopan Monastery to join a 10 day introduction class to Buddhism, I had quite a lot of things to get organized…
The most important task for me on this Travel Sunday was to figure out my onward flight connections and how to best get out of Nepal. Once the class at the monastery was finished, I had spent a total of three months in Nepal and my visa would run out at the same time. While thinking about that, I realized that I had actually never spent three months in one single country while travelling and I simply could not believe that all that time had almost passed by already…
In the end, I found different options to fly into Thailand and Indonesia, but I couldn’t quite make up my mind. So I simply spent my whole Travel Sunday doing errands in Thamel, organizing things, packing my backpack, catching up with my diary, checking emails and enjoying my last local street food. I guess it was a pretty typical day in Kathmandu after all… : )
